This is a no-frills RV park that was once a “motor-hotel” in the hey-day of Route 66. The pull-through sites are very long and wide enough to accommodate RVs with opposing slides. The sites are clean and level and a combination of grass/gravel. Some sites are open with small trees/bushes and some sites are shaded by large cottonwood trees. The staff is helpful, friendly and led us to our site. The full hook ups have stable 30 or 50 amps and good water pressure. Price we paid reflects the 50% discount offered to members of the Escapees RV Club. This was the first time we have stopped here, but it will be a regular stop on our frequent travels across this part of New Mexico. We are full-time RVers who stayed here for two nights.

This is a great city park, with wide level sites. RV parking areas are gravel with yards of grass with fire pits. Some have trees, some are open to the southern sky. Some sites are Full hook up, some have just electricity and some are for dry-tent-camping. Prices vary depending on type of site. Great water pressure and stable electricity. It is self registration and reservations can be made (and should be made for weekends). We are full-time RVers who only stopped here for an overnight stay, but we are definitely planning on coming back and staying for awhile.

This is a no-frills, clean park with pull-throughs that would accommodate most RVs with hitched tow vehicle. Sites are full hook ups with good water pressure and stable electricity. Distance between sites is adequate for big-rigs with opposing slides. Ground is all gravel; the sites are level and the campground is easy in/out. There are no trees so it is roof-top internet satellite dish friendly. The campground has free Wi-Fi for those who need it. Manager was friendly and helpful. We are full-time RVers who stopped here for an overnight stay and will definitely stop here again as we cross the country.

This is a delightful park that is only open from April through September. We visited this park in July for 10 days and then returned for a month in September. Price reflects the monthly fee pro-rated on a daily basis. There are a wide variety of sites – no cookie-cutter locked-stepped layout in this park. There are pull-thru sites, back-in sites and pull-in sites. Sites are immaculate, level, packed dirt surrounded in most cases by grass. Sites are mostly shady, but the owners know which ones are roof-top internet satellite dish friendly and accommodated our needs. Water pressure is good, electricity is stable and utility connections are convenient. No highway noises, no railroad whistles! Clean 24-hour laundry and facilities. Deer and wild turkey are often seen roaming in the open areas. We are full-time RVers and lived here for a month and are planning on returning next year.

We booked a 20 day stay at this campground based on the review made in May 2006. In no way could we rate this RV park any higher than we did. The only pluses are the friendliness of the owners and staff and the location between Canon City and the Royal Gorge. The campground is old and the new owners are doing all they can to improve it. But still, the sites are long, but much too close together. If the park had been full, it would have been awning to awning except for a few sites. The park is clean, but there is no landscaping, just dirt and what would grow naturally. Some sites are shady, some are open and roof-top internet satellite dish friendly. New gravel for the roads kept down the dust and new picnic tables replaced the old ones while we were there. A few sites have 50amps. We are full-time RVers and stayed here for the 20 days only because the park was not full. If we return to the area, we would select another park.

The campgrounds on the Cam-Plex are only for rallies and events held at this facility. It is not a place to live nor is it a vacation destination. The rating we gave it is based on that premise. The fact that one can attend a rally with well over a thousand rigs and everyone can have FHUs is commendable. The campgrounds are basically open grassy fields "planted" with power boxes and bisected with dirt roads. The sites are long and narrow — but yet wide enough for rigs with opposing slides and awnings. We are full-time RVers and lived here for a week during the Escapees' Escapade. We would recommend the Cam-Plex for big rallies.

What a delightful park! Sites are level gravel surrounded by grass – some are shaded, some are open and roof-top internet satellite dish friendly – most will accommodate any size of rig. We were there in the middle of the week and found it to be a relaxing quiet campground. There is a campground host, but it is self registering at a kiosk after you select your site. We are full-time RVers and just stopped in for the night, but we will definitely return for the maximum stay of 14 days.

Great campground for an overnight stay when heading through Kansas on I-70 or US 83. Easy on-off of both roads, but the large sign for the campground is after the entrance when driving north on US 83. Extra long pull-throughs are level and roof-top internet satellite dish friendly. Good restaurant adjacent to the campground. We are full-time RVers and stopped for the night as we have before and will again.

This is a simple campground with mostly pull-thru sites. The roads are dirt. The level gravel sites are long enough for 40' rigs with adequate width for opposing slides and awnings. There was good water pressure and stable electricity. This is not a resort destination, but a great central location for day trips to Taos, Santa Fe, Bandelier National Monument, Los Alamos and surrounding pueblos. Plus the price is reasonable. There are some large shade trees but not so dense as to interfere with roof-top internet satellite dishes. We found the hosts/owners, a young couple with day jobs, to be friendly and customer oriented. We are full-time RVers and lived here for two weeks.

Price reflects ½ price using Golden Age pass. A clean, quiet, aesthetically pleasing campground with gravel sites and roads. Large expanses of grass between sites. Sites had fire rings and picnic tables. Some sites are heavily shaded, some open and roof-top internet satellite dish friendly. Some sites are double, making it nice for two rig camping with friends. Most sites will accommodate the longest of rigs, but slope so that motorhomes may need blocks under the front or rear tires/jacks. There shouldn’t be any problems for 5th wheels or travel trailers. There are no sewer hookups but there is a dump station. We are full-time RVers and lived here for only four days, so we will definitely return.

Every year we stop at this park for a week during our cross country migration. A clean, aesthetically pleasing and quiet park, it is designed with a lot of space between the level sites. In the Park Terrace section, some of the back-in spaces are in a forest-like setting with gravel pads and some are in a grassed area with concrete pads that is roof-top internet satellite dish friendly. All have fire-rings and picnic tables. Water and sewer are shut off from mid/late October until spring. When arriving you go and pick out your space, set up and then go to the office to register. Park is packed full on weekends and reservations are not accepted. We are full-time RVers and lived here for a week. We will return.

We liked this campground, it met all our basic needs. Sites were long and level. The ones in the open were side-by-side, which meant that we were close to our neighbors in the back, but we had a large "front yard" that did not have the neighbors sewer in it. Sites vary in size. Some are in a setting that resembles a pine forest. Others are in the open and therefore are roof-top Internet satellite dish friendly. There are a few small sites, but most will accommodate the largest of rigs. Sites are level packed dirt. Water pressure was very good and the electricity was stable. All sites had fire-rings and picnic tables. Roads in the park were gravel. Staff was friendly and had excellent pastries and pasties for sale. The park was clean, quiet and a pleasant place to stay. We are full-time RVers and lived here for a week. We would return.

This is a clean well-maintained quiet park with fairly level sites. It is big-rig and satellite dish friendly. There are a wide variety of types of sites, so specify what you want when you make your reservations.. Some sites face the river, some are gravel sites, some are grass sites, some have 50amps, many surround the two stocked fishing ponds, most are surrounded by grass and nicely spaced large trees and a few of the sites are close together. There is a dump station and an inexpensive honey wagon is available. They have a very limited number of sites with FHU and they are saved for RVers that are there for longer stays. There are also four cabins along the river. Tent area is separate from the RV section. The park is accessed via an open-range gravel road off Hwy 298 south of Big Timber. Campground hosts were friendly, customer-oriented and escorted us to our site. There is a GS discount or a weekly discount. We are full-timers who lived there 16 days and would definitely return.

Clean park with friendly staff that made sure we had a site with view of the sky for our Internet-Satellite dish. The sites were level and some are pull-thru. The roads through the campground were rather challenging for our MH with toad attached. On our site we could stay hooked up for our overnight stay, but many of the others would have been too short. We knew the river was close because we had an unobstructed view of the State Street Bridge. Campground was quiet during the day, but at night, State Street became a motorcycle dragway. That is not the campgrounds fault, but it made sitting out in the evening rather noisy and unpleasant.

Don’t let the name of the park or the fact that it has a filling stations (diesel too) or that it is located at the intersection of US 2 and Hwy 169 put you off. This park is set way back from the road. It is clean and quiet. It is a big-rig friendly, no frills park with full hook up, pull-thru sites on packed dirt. The sites are level, long and adequately spaced with fire-rings and picnic tables. Some sites are in the open and are roof-top internet satellite dish friendly, others are nestled between trees and have all-day shade. Roads are packed dirt. It is ATV-friendly with access to trails directly from the campground. Staff is customer-oriented and friendly. We are full-time RVers and lived here for a week. We would return.

This is a simple campground that satisfied our needs for an overnight stop -- easy on/off I-94 at US 12, clean, level pull-thus, water/electric, clear view of the sky for our Internet Satellite dish and the price is certainly appealing. They also had a pool that looked inviting. We are full-timers and would stop here again, even stay a couple of days just to rest.

The $8.00 rate is for Coast to Coast Members. This is a sad park. It is sad that it is so neglected. The ground is packed dirt and not level. Trees were cut, probably to accommodate larger rigs, but the stumps were left. The roads were narrow. Some of the so called pull-through sites are actually two sites end-to-end, so that if another rig is already parked in one, you must back into the other one. Although the desk clerk was friendly, she could not find our reservation and then assigned us to a site that was already occupied. The park was only about 25% filled, so we chose another site and notified the office. Even at this price, we would not stay here again. The one night we stayed was enough!

This is a delightful RV park – aesthetically pleasing and quiet. Paved streets, gravel parking area is level, large grass lawns between sites. Half the sites are pull-thrus and all are big-rig friendly. About two-thirds of the sites are shaded with tall pines and deciduous trees. The other one-third are satellite friendly. Park is on east side of Hwy 93 just north of I-90 and convenient for on-off. Nice lounge adjacent to clean laundry room. Mid-day the water pressure is low, but otherwise it was sufficient. Every site was filled every night, so reservations are a smart way to go. We are full-timers and without question would stay here again.

This is a clean park with level gravel sites and small grass plots between sites. Pull-thus will handle the biggest of rigs, but the towed/tow may have to be parked in another location not far away. Streets are paved, but narrow. However, a big-rig can negotiate the roads. Many rules keep the park at a high quality and they are posted on their web page so we were aware of them before making a reservation. Personal on-site clothes line are not allowed which we can live with, but the bad part is that the campground does not have clothes lines by the laundry room that we could use. We were there during record-breaking temps and management asked everyone to use only one AC to keep from overloading the local grid. Campground host couples were friendly and customer-oriented. We are full-timers and stayed there two weeks.

This is not a resort nor a place for small children. It is an excellent location to live while enjoying this area of Idaho. This new park is located on a strip of land between a railroad siding (with little usage) and the Clearwater River. Most sites are along the river's edge. The back-in sites are on a angle which adds privacy and a view of the river from the patio side. Pull-through sites are parallel with the river with the patio facing the river. The trees are too young right now to provide shade. Little garden areas separate the wide sites. Parking is on gravel and large concrete patios with picnic tables make for a pleasant site. This park is big-rig and satellite-dish friendly and there is extra parking areas for boat trailers. Managers live on site and are extremely helpful. Owner is frequently at the park and is conscientious of RVers' needs.

Convenient on-off Interstate 84. This was just an overnight stay for us. Pull-thru sites were of packed dirt and wide/long enough for our 40 foot motorhome and tow vehicle. Nothing special about this park, except for convenience and helpfulness of the staff.

We have never given this high a rating before, but this RV park truly deserves it. The paved level sites are widely spaced and nestled in the woods. DirecTV antennas are placed throughout the campground and cabled to the sites. The on-site owner loves what he is doing and it is reflected in the cleanliness and appearance of the park. At check-in he gave us a golf-cart tour of the campground. He is also knowledgeable about the area and is more than willing to share it with his guests. The price mentioned is the nightly rate, but huge discounts are offered for longer stays. This is not a resort, but a wonderful mountain retreat and a great place "to get away from it all." We are already planning a return visit.

We liked this park because it is a simple, clean, pleasant park with lots of space between the sites. RV parking is on hard packed earth surrounded by grass, some with shade, some open. Tent camping is in a huge open grassy field. Restrooms/showers were immaculate. We "lived" here for a week and used it as a base to explore the coast.

We liked this park very much. This park is heavy forested. When we called for reservations we requested a site that had a clear shot of the southern sky for our satellite Internet dish and Connie, the owner, made sure that we got the only one that met that criteria. The less than perfect rating we have given it was because our site was not level. We liked lots of things about this park: the "middle of the woods" feeling; watching the wild turkeys wander the grounds; the separation of permanent residents from the temporary visitors; the store that had everything with staples, wine, fresh food and antiques mixed for a fascinating display; and the friendliness of the owners who made us feel right "at home".
